Privacy Policy - SameSide

This Privacy Policy explains how SameSide, developed by One4Studio, handles your information. SameSide is built to be fully private: there are no accounts, no server, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Information We Collect

We, the developer, do not collect any of your information. SameSide has no backend and does not upload your data anywhere. The following is stored only on your device:

  • The names or labels you choose for yourself and your partner (optional, free text)
  • Household details you provide, such as whether you have kids or pets
  • Your answers about how household tasks are split, any task handoffs, and your activity log
  • App settings and preferences
  • Whether you have an active SameSide Pro subscription

This information is saved locally as a file on your device and shared with the SameSide home-screen widget through a private app group on your device. It is never transmitted to us.

Sharing With Your Partner

If you use partner sync, SameSide creates a file containing your household data that you can send directly to your partner (for example, via AirDrop or any method you choose). This transfer happens entirely between your devices; no server is involved and we never see it. You decide whether and how to share this file.

Notifications

With your permission, SameSide schedules local notifications for reminders such as the weekly reset and task handoffs. These are generated on your device.

Subscriptions & Purchases

SameSide Pro is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase and subscription status. Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase information (such as an anonymous purchase identifier and receipt) under their own privacy policies. We never receive your card or payment details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Apart from purchase processing (Apple and RevenueCat), no data is shared with anyone, because the app has no server.

Data Security

Your on-device data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and iOS sandboxing. Any file you choose to share with your partner is under your control.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you can delete all of it at any time by uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

SameSide is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the date below.
