Privacy Policy - ZodiaCat

This Privacy Policy explains how ZodiaCat, developed by One4Studio, handles your information. ZodiaCat (available on iOS and Android) is an astrology and horoscope entertainment app. There are no accounts, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking. Your profile is stored on your device, and we do not keep a personal account of you.

Data Stored on Your Device

The information you enter during onboarding is stored only on your device (in local app storage):

  • Your name or nickname
  • Your zodiac sign
  • Optionally, your birth date, birth time, and birth place (used for birth-chart and compatibility readings)
  • Your preferences, streak, and whether you have Premium

This local profile is not uploaded to our servers or tied to a personal account.

How Readings Are Generated

ZodiaCat generates readings using AI. When you request a reading (for example a daily horoscope, tarot reading, compatibility reading, or birth chart), the inputs needed for that reading — such as your zodiac sign and, for a birth chart, your birth date, time, and place — are sent to our backend (hosted on Supabase) and forwarded to AI providers, currently Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude), to generate the text. These inputs are used only to produce your reading; they are not stored in a personal profile on our servers and are not linked to your identity. Your name is kept on your device and is not sent to the backend.

Our backend also stores general, non-personal astrological content — such as daily horoscopes per sign and daily “cosmic weather” — that is the same for everyone and does not describe you.

Photos (iOS)

If you save a shareable reading card, ZodiaCat asks permission to add the image to your photo library. It only adds images you choose to save and does not read your existing photos.

Subscriptions & Purchases

ZodiaCat Premium is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase and subscription status. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat handle purchase information (such as an anonymous purchase identifier and receipt) under their own privacy policies. We never receive your card or payment details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers needed to run the app: Apple and Google (app stores), RevenueCat (purchase management), Supabase (our backend), and the AI providers Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude), used to generate readings.

Data Security

Your on-device data is protected by your device's security features and platform sandboxing. Requests to our backend and AI providers are transmitted over encrypted connections.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your profile lives on your device, so you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. Reading inputs are processed transiently to generate your reading and are not retained as a personal record.

Children's Privacy

ZodiaCat is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the date below.
