How to track your kitchen inventory with Vule

How many times have you bought something at the store only to find you already had it at home? Vule includes a kitchen inventory feature that tracks what you have on hand — so you always know what's in your fridge, freezer, and pantry.

There are several ways to add items to your inventory, so it fits naturally into your routine:

  1. Transfer from Grocery List — after shopping, tap 'Move to Inventory' to transfer purchased items in one step.
  2. Add manually — type in an item name, category, and optional expiration date.
  3. Scan a barcode — use the built-in scanner to identify packaged products instantly.
  4. Photo scan (Pro) — point your camera at ingredients on your counter and AI identifies and adds them to inventory automatically.

Items in your inventory are organized by category — produce, dairy, meat, grains, canned goods, and more. You can see everything at a glance and quickly check what you need to restock.

The inventory also connects to Vule's AI features. When you use AI to generate a recipe, it can look at your current inventory and suggest recipes based on what you already have — reducing waste and saving trips to the store.

Tip: Get in the habit of transferring grocery items to inventory right after shopping. It takes one tap in Vule and keeps your inventory accurate without any extra effort.
