Privacy Policy - Noctura

This Privacy Policy explains how Noctura, developed by One4Studio, handles your information. Noctura is designed to be private: there are no accounts, and most of your data never leaves your device.

Information We Collect

Data Stored on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud, synced privately through your own Apple iCloud account:

  • Your favorite scenes and sounds, and any mixes you create
  • App settings and preferences
  • Your streak and listening history (used for the in-app Sleep Stats)
  • Whether you have an active Noctura PRO subscription

Apple Health (Optional)

If you turn on “Save Mindful Minutes to Health,” Noctura writes the length of your breathing and focus sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. Noctura only writes this data and never reads any health information. It stays within Apple Health on your device.

App Blocking / Screen Time (Optional)

If you enable focus-session app blocking, Noctura uses Apple's Family Controls (Screen Time) framework to shield the apps you choose. Your selection is handled entirely by Apple on your device — Noctura never sees which apps you pick, and this information is never sent to us.

Notifications

With your permission, Noctura schedules local notifications for bedtime reminders, the wake-up alarm, and focus-session timers. These are generated on your device.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Noctura PRO subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase information (such as an anonymous purchase identifier and receipt) under their own privacy policies. We never receive your card or payment details.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — for example, which features are used — to understand how Noctura is used and to improve it. This data is not linked to your identity.

  • To manage your subscription
  • To understand usage and improve Noctura

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share limited information only with the service providers needed to run the app: Apple (App Store, iCloud, Health, Screen Time) and RevenueCat (subscription management).

Data Security

Your on-device data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and iOS sandboxing. Any iCloud data is protected by your Apple ID and Apple's encryption.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app and removing Noctura's data from your iCloud settings.

Children's Privacy

Noctura is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the date below.
