Privacy Policy - SlimPix

This Privacy Policy applies to SlimPix (Photo & Video Compressor), available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, developed by One4Studio.

SlimPix is built around a simple promise: your photos and videos never leave your device. The whole compression pipeline runs locally on the phone — there is no upload, no cloud processing, and no server-side storage of your media.

What Stays On Your Device

  • Your photos, videos, and the compressed copies SlimPix produces.
  • EXIF metadata (date, location, camera info) — preserved on the compressed copy unless you opt in to “Remove Metadata” in Settings.
  • All app preferences (compression quality, theme, daily-limit counters, savings stats) — stored locally in app storage.

None of the above is transmitted to One4Studio or any third party.

Permissions We Request

  • Photos & Videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO on Android; Photo Library on iOS) — required to scan your library, find compressible items, and write back the compressed copy.
  • Media Location (ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION on Android) — used solely to copy GPS EXIF tags onto the compressed photo so the new file keeps the same location and map preview as the original. We never read or transmit your live location.
  • Notifications — used only for in-app status messages (compression complete, save finished). No marketing push notifications.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Pro upgrades are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. To unlock and restore Pro across your devices we use RevenueCat as a subscription processor; only an anonymous user identifier and your purchase receipt are shared with them, per their privacy policy.

Analytics

SlimPix does not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The platform stores (Apple, Google) provide aggregate, anonymized install and crash statistics on their developer dashboards; we do not link those to individual users.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data. The only data leaving the app is the anonymous purchase token sent to RevenueCat / Apple / Google when you buy or restore Pro.

Children’s Privacy

SlimPix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights & Choices

  • Revoke any permission at any time in your phone’s system Settings — SlimPix simply scans less of your library.
  • Delete the app to remove all locally-stored data (preferences, stats, cache).
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Changes

If this policy changes we’ll update the date below and, when changes are material, surface a notice in-app on the next launch.
