SlimPix Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SlimPix ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SlimPix is a photo and video compression application that helps you reduce file sizes while maintaining quality. The App processes your media locally on your device and saves optimized versions to your Photo Library.

3. Free and Pro Versions

SlimPix offers:

  • Free Version: Limited to 10 file compressions
  • SlimPix Pro: Unlimited compressions via subscription or lifetime purchase

Free tier limitations are tracked locally on your device.

4. In-App Purchases

SlimPix Pro is available through:

  • Yearly Subscription: Auto-renews annually unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal
  • Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for permanent access

All purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

5. Subscription Auto-Renewal

Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before renewal.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by visiting your App Store account settings after purchase.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Backing up your original photos and videos before optimization
  • Reviewing optimized files before deleting originals
  • Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Maintaining the security of your device

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Optimization results will be suitable for all use cases
  • Any specific file size reduction will be achieved

Image and video compression involves trade-offs between file size and quality. Results may vary depending on the source media.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any loss of data, photos, or videos
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Any damages arising from use or inability to use the App

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by SlimPix and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Use the App’s branding without permission

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
