Privacy Policy - Vule

One4Studio (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built Vule as a recipe discovery, meal planning, and grocery management app. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Data Stored on Your Device

Vule stores all of your personal data — recipes, meal plans, inventory items, grocery lists, and preferences — locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData). This data is not uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

Camera & Photo Library

Vule may request access to your device camera to scan ingredients and add them to your inventory. Photos are processed on-device or sent to our secure server for recognition and are not stored after processing. Camera access is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device Settings.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

During Cooking Mode, Vule may request microphone access to enable hands-free voice commands (e.g., “next step”). Speech is processed using Apple’s on-device speech recognition framework. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers.

Network Requests

Vule connects to our secure server (Cloudflare Worker) to provide the following features:

• Recipe catalog downloads and updates
• AI-powered recipe suggestions (for Pro subscribers)
• Nutrition information lookup
• Content translation

These requests are authenticated with device-level signing and do not include any personally identifiable information. We do not track which recipes you view, cook, or save.

Subscriptions

Vule offers optional in-app subscriptions (Vule Pro) processed entirely through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, a third-party service that receives only an anonymous app user identifier — no personal data.

Analytics & Advertising

Vule does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks. We do not collect usage analytics, and we do not serve ads.

Children’s Privacy

Vule is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

All network communication is encrypted via HTTPS. Requests to our server are authenticated with per-device cryptographic signatures (HMAC-SHA256) to prevent unauthorized access. Signing keys are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by uninstalling Vule. You may also revoke camera or microphone permissions at any time through your device Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Vule after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
