Live Wallpaper

A live wallpaper is an animated or interactive wallpaper for Android or iOS that moves, responds to touch, or changes based on time, weather, or other conditions.

Live wallpapers go beyond static images by adding motion or interactivity to your background. They can range from subtle particle effects and slow gradients to fully animated scenes that respond to your touch or tilt.

On Android, live wallpapers are apps that run as background services. They can be applied through Settings > Wallpaper, or through many third-party wallpaper apps. The level of battery impact depends on the complexity of the animation — simple gradient shifts are negligible, while complex 3D scenes use more power.

On iOS, Apple supports Live Photos as wallpapers (they animate on long-press) and has added dynamic wallpapers in recent iOS versions. Third-party live wallpaper support is more limited compared to Android.

Tip: If battery life is a concern, use a static wallpaper from One4Wall or Thematica instead. A well-chosen static wallpaper with the right icon pack often looks better than a live wallpaper that distracts from your setup.
