Who keeps track of everything?

Most of what keeps a home running is invisible — and whoever carries it, carries it alone, because nobody else knows it exists. SameSide makes it visible in ten minutes, then helps you share it.

What SameSide does

No blame. No lectures. Just an honest picture of who is carrying what — and a way to be on the same side.

🃏

A deck of the work nobody sees

Swipe through around 80 invisible household jobs — remembering birthdays, noticing the empty fridge, planning the week's meals, knowing when the kids need new shoes. Quick mode covers the 30 essentials in about ten minutes.

📊

The Mental Load Report

See who keeps track of how many things, category by category. It's a number, not an accusation — and it's usually the first time both people are looking at the same picture.

🤝

Hand off the whole card

Not just the chore: the noticing and the remembering come with it. Handing over “school forms” means you stop being the one who has to remember school forms exist.

🔔

Reminders that nag so you don't have to

Once a card has a new owner, their phone gets the nudge. The reminder does the asking, which is the part that was quietly costing you both.

🔁

A ten-minute weekly reset

A short ritual that keeps the balance from sliding back to where it was. Track the split over time and watch it actually move.

📵

No accounts, no server

Partner sync happens directly between your phones over AirDrop. Your household, your answers and your report never leave your devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mental load?

The mental load is the invisible, ongoing work of anticipating, noticing, planning and remembering what a household needs — as distinct from the visible chores themselves. Cooking dinner is a chore; knowing what's in the fridge, deciding what to cook and remembering that someone doesn't eat fish is mental load. It's the part that rarely gets split, because it's hard to see.

How long does the quiz take?

Quick mode is 30 essential cards and takes about ten minutes. The full deck is around 80 cards and you can stop and come back at any point — your progress is saved on your device.

Does my partner need the app too?

You can take the deck and get your report on your own. To sync as a couple and hand off cards, both of you install SameSide and pair over AirDrop — there is no account to create and no invite link to send.

Is this going to start a fight?

SameSide is deliberately built without blame or lectures. It doesn't score anyone as good or bad — it shows what's being carried and by whom, then gives you a mechanism to move specific items. Most of the friction in this conversation comes from it being vague, and the report makes it concrete.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your device. There are no accounts and no servers, nothing is uploaded or tracked, and partner sync goes phone-to-phone over AirDrop.

Will it be free?

Seeing it is free forever: the full deck, quick mode and your Mental Load Report. SameSide Pro adds card handoffs, reminders for the new owner and the weekly reset ritual, as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through your App Store account.
